PDA Parent Support Group (Next series starting in the new year)

This is an educational and supportive group for parents of children 10-14 who are caring for a neurodiverse child with PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance or Persistent Drive for Autonomy).  The group will be a non-judgmental space for caregivers to better understand the PDA profile, gain support from other parents, and learn a new parenting approach. Some questions we will consider will be: What are the physiological and psychological drivers of the PDA child's need for autonomy? How can parents balance flexibility with non-negotiable expectations? What are the self-care and support needs of caregivers of PDA children? Sessions will combine information sharing and open discussion.

Thursdays 9:30-10:30 on Zoom.

Fee: $125/session
